12 head of cattle found dead in Patiala

In all, 12 head of cattle were found dead on the Bhadson-Nabha Road, about 25 km from here, today morning, the police have said.
The police suspect the role of cattle smugglers. Prima facie, it appears that the cattle were poisoned. A case against unidentified persons has been registered.
Patiala SSP Deepak Pareek reached the spot and ensured a thorough probe into the incident. The cattle will be cremated after conducting a post-mortem examination.
