13 DNB seats for three civil hospitals of Punjab

The National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has given approval for 13 medical seats of Diplomate of National Board (DNB) course to three Civil Hospitals in the state.

The DNB is a post-graduate degree in medical science same as MD/MS degree awarded to specialist doctors after completion of three-year residency.

Admissions would be done on the basis of NEET-PG score. At present, the state has 40 DNB seats in different civil hospitals.

For the first time, Faridkot District Hospital has got three DNB seats. The Ludhiana Civil Hospital has got four seats each in paediatrics and tuberculosis and chest disease. The Bathinda Civil Hospital has got two seats in paediatrics. Out of the 13 seats, up to six seats could be reserved for in-service quota seats, reads the NBE letter.
