Chandigarh, January 25
On the eve of 73rd Republic Day, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the names of the Punjab Police officers/officials, to be awarded with the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and the Police Medal for Meritorious Service. Two Additional Director Generals of Police, including ADGP Law amp; Order Naresh Kumar and ADGP Intelligence Amardeep Singh Rai, have been selected for the medal for distinguished service.
While, IPS officer Amritsar Commissioner of Police Sukhchain Singh Gill, DIG Special Task Force Sanjeev Kumar Rampal and four PPS officers, including PRTC Jahan Khelan Commandant Harpreet Singh Mander, Hoshiarpur Investigation SP Ravinder Pal Singh, Jalandhar Headquarters ACP Subhash Chandar Arora and Rupnagar District Jail Deputy Superintendent (Security), are among the 15 police officers selected for meritorious service. Others include Inspector Shaminder Singh, Inspector Onkar Singh Brar, Inspector Jagpreet Singh, Inspector Balwinder Kaur, SI Arun Kumar and ASI Sandeep Kumar. —
