Abohar, June 29
Three youths were swept away by the strong current of water while bathing in a canal near Hamirdesar village of Hanumangarh last evening.
Pallu police station incharge Bishan Sahai said Bhala Ram and Sunil Pratap of Kansar along with a relative, Vinod Kumar of Manuprakash village, came to the canal to fill water in a tanker. “Later, two of them got down into the canal for bathing. The third youth was standing on the shore, but he lost his balance and fell into the canal. All three got washed away.” So far, the bodies of Sunil and Bhala have been retrieved.
