An Army recruitment rally under the Agniveer scheme began at the Indira Priyadarshini Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday (September 2, 2026). It will continue till September 20. About 10,350 candidates from all districts of Andhra Pradesh are expected to participate.

The district administration has made arrangements for drinking water, sanitation, electricity, lighting, toilets and barricading for the rally. A 1.6-km running track has been prepared from NTR Circle on Beach Road. Medical teams and ambulances have been kept available at the venue and the running site, and a fire tender and generators have also been arranged.

Agniveer recruitment list for CAPFs will come from armed forces

Traffic and security arrangements have been made in coordination with the Army Recruiting Office, the police and other departments. Candidates have been advised to report at the venue on the allotted date and time with the required documents and original certificates.

Vehicle movement will be restricted between Park Hotel Junction and NTR Circle from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. till September 20.
