Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday (September 7, 2026) interviewed several party workers as the party’s high command looks to appoint new All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretaries.

Though the exact number of candidates isn’t known, sources said about 30 to 40 people were interviewed in separate batches.

The move is part of the high command’s attempt to bring new faces and give representation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
