The Women and Child Welfare Officer in Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema District, K. Nagamani, on Wednesday appealed to the biological parents of a two-month-old baby girl to claim her before May 8. 

“The baby will be admitted to Amalapuram Sishu Gruha if her biological parents will not come forward to claim here by May 8,” Ms. Nagamani said.

Ms. Nagamani in a release stated that the newborn was rescued by the locals reportedly after she was abandoned by her parents on January 29.

The baby was sighted by the residents of Vanapalli village of Kothapeta Mandal. The baby has been provided medical and health care in an Amalapuram government hospital.
