Adopting a clear future line of action in the run-up to the Punjab Assembly elections, PPCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Tuesday reiterated that this time the people of Punjab would elect their CM based on the futuristic agenda for the state.

Launching the basic income agenda of his Punjab model, Sidhu clarified that it not a war against any individual but fight for the benefit of Punjab with a revenue-based model.

Categorically evading question on the tussle between him and CM Charanjit Channi, the PPCC chief said whatever he was talking about the agenda was with the consent of the Punjab affairs general secretary.

The banner in the background during Sidhu’s press conferences had pictures of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Navjot Sidhu. The pictures of Charanjit Channi and Sunil Jakhar were not seen.

Addressing the press conference, Sidhu said Punjab is not the property of an individual.

“If Channi has shown intent to run government in 111 days, I am talking about policymaking for the next five years. There should be no confusion and false implications,” he said.

Talking about his model, Sidhu talked about setting up liquor corporation, mining corporation, transport corporation, cable corporation and river water corporation to boost state revenue and check revenue pilferage.
