Jalandhar, January 15
Having faced prolonged protests by unemployed BEd, ETT qualified and TET-pass teachers, Education Minister Pargat Singh said about 31,000 teachers were being recruited to address the problem of staff shortage at educational institutes.
“About 19 new ITIs and 273 smart schools, have been set up. A total of 259 government secondary schools will be covered under the Phase I of the government scheme Padho Punjab, Padhao Punjab,” he said. —
