A heart-warming video — featuring a middle-aged homeless man, in Patiala, getting a roadside makeover: a haircut, shaving of beard, and a bath — is making rounds on the social media.
55-year-old Prem, who is said to have spent most of his life on the streets of Sanauri Adda, happened to receive a helping hand from a local social worker. 
A barber had volunteered for the hair cut and shaving of beard ofPrem before he was given a bath by the social worker Gurmukh Singh himself.
The help culminated in a complete transformation of Prem after he had put on thenew clothes and slippers – donated by Gurmukh.
Gurmukh Singh, while talking to Tribune, said that he had extended the help when he saw Prem roaming on road barefoot with his long untidy hair in scorching heat. “He is homeless and he doesn’t have any family members. After looking at him, I decided to provide a helping hand to him.”
He said that Prem was happy after he got rid of his untidy long hair. Singh also runs a free charitable dispensary in the area. “We have also given him first aid as he had multiple sores and bruises on his body. He was feeling relaxed and better after the makeover.”
