With a fan-following running into millions and stardom that only a few can imagine, famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala (Shubhdeep Singh) had a rather fatal end.
Known for hit Punjabi tracks like ‘Legend’, ‘Devil’, ‘Just listen’, ‘Jatt da Muqabala’ and ‘Hathyar’, among many others, Moosewala was shot dead at the age of 27 by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Mansa district on Sunday.
Not only from fans, condolences poured in from Bollywood stars and political leaders as well condemning the murder and mourning the loss of the talented artiste.
Expressing deep shock and dismay over his death, a huge fan of Moosewala, Shehnaaz Gill took to Twitter and wrote: “Nothing is more painful in the world than losing one’s young son or daughter. God, please have mercy!”

Her old video of an interview where the actor can be seen being star-struck with the singer’s songs surfaced online and started doing rounds on Internet.

She can be seen praising the singer for his songs and how she always listened to those whenever she felt sad to cheer herself up.
To her, his songs were energetic and boosted her morale. They made her think the best of herself.
According to Gill, Sidhu Moosewala had no match.
She can be seen sharing how she had met the singer once at a gym and how he initiated a greeting with a ‘satriakal’ himself. She felt that he was a down-to-earth-person for initiating a conversation despite being an artiste of much repute.
For Shehnaaz, there was second-to-none a singer like Moosewala.
