“You have done your job by electing our 92 MLAs and now it’s our turn to deliver. During the last three months, I have taken many steps to end corruption and improve the service delivery system, but I need some time to bring about overall improvement as the previous governments have damaged the system in the last 70 years,” Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann said on Thursday as he started his roadshow from Bhadaur to support party candidate Gurmail Singh in the Sangrur Lok Sabha bypoll.

The CM would visit various villages to seek votes for party candidate. At the roadshow, he announced to put all corrupt persons behind bars.

“We have taken action against some corrupt persons and lists of all are ready. I want to take strong action against the corrupt with documentary evidence. He said the money which Punjab had been robbed of would be recovered and invested in the state’s development,”said CM Mann.

He also announced that all government land, which is under illegal possession, would be freed in coming days.

“We have already got freed around 5,800 acres of land from encroachers and more action is being taken. No one will be spared,” said Mann.
