New Delhi, June 29
The northern states touched their all-time highest peak power demand of 77091 MW with a record energy consumption of 1737 MU (Mega Unit) on Tuesday. The government was able to meet the demand.
The Ministry of Power statistics today revealed that Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi clocked their highest demand of 15850 MW, 14002 MW, 12540 MW and 7528 MW respectively on Tuesday.
“Apart from this, Punjab and Delhi also recorded their all-time highest energy consumption of 326.4 MU and 153.5 MU respectively on June 28,” the Ministry data showed.
Moreover, the eastern region too clocked the all-time highest demand of 26096 MW on June 27.
