Ropar: A mother-son duo was arrested after 1,200 lotomil tablets (used as intoxicants) were seized from their car near Kiratpur Sahib on Tuesday. The suspects have been identified as Radhika and Abhishek Kalotra, both residents of Kangra. ASI Balvir Chand said the suspects were intercepted at Patalpuri Chowk in Kiratpur. Moga: A veteran Congress leader, Dr Pawan Thapar, who is husband of former minister Dr Malti Thapar, has been booked on the allegations of disrespecting and insulting Tricolour, which was hoisted on a pole at their residence in Moga, a police official said. Man, daughter die in accident
Abohar: A man and his daughter were killed in a road accident near Hanumangarh on Wednesday. Gurjant Singh of Makkasar village was going on a motorcycle to drop his daughter Kulwinder Kaur at a coaching centre when a car hit their bike. The car driver fled from the spot. Villagers took them to a hospital where doctors declared them dead.
