The Punjab government has appointed Rajya Sabha MP and AAP leader Raghav Chadha as chairman of the advisory committee on matters of public interest, party sources said.

The state government had recently issued a notification, announcing the formation of the advisory body on matters of public interest—a development that ran into trouble as the opposition has questioned the body’s legality.
