Chandigarh, October 21

The state unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today questioned the BJP for terming peacefully agitating farmers as “terrorists, separatists and Khalistanis” and certifying former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh as a patriot when he had kept a Pakistan-born person as a guest at his residence.

Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema, in a statement, said the BJP government at the Centre was seeing the farmers and labourers as terrorists, while in a bid to take over the reins of Punjab it was praising the former Chief Minister as a patriot, knowing full well he hosted the Pakistan national at his residence. Captain Amarinder had failed to punish culprits in the sacrilege and firing cases or crack down on major drug-transport smugglers, he added.
