Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday said BR Ambedkar gave democracy to India.
Addressing a gathering on Ambedkar’s birth anniversary here, he said it is only due to the democracy given by Ambedkar that common people had a chance to defeat stalwarts like the Badals in Punjab.
He asked MLAs to serve all irrespective of their votes.
He said that all Punjab homes consider the CM residence as their own.
Mann also promised to start courses and universities in Babasaheb’s name.
He declared that a sports university is to come up in Jalandhar and the city will also be developed as a sports hub.
Mann, in a press conference said, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot will be in jail soon.
He also confirmed that he was not being sidelined in the state and all decisions were being taken by him.
