Muktsar, January 4
Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann today asked PCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu to tell people about the source of funds for the freebies announced by him at a rally in Barnala on Monday.
While addressing a rally at Muktsar grain market today, state AAP chief Mann said: “When we announced Rs 1,000 per month aid for women, Sidhu criticised us by saying that Punjabis were not beggars. He also questioned us about the sources of funds. Now, that he has made a similar move, has he found a currency-printing machine?”
Lashing out at the Congress, he further said Sidhu was called to Delhi for a meeting on Tuesday as the chairman of the party’s manifesto committee is Partap Singh Bajwa and Sidhu was publicly making announcements.
He further targeted CM Charanjit Singh Channi and Deputy CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa over the law order situation and “sacrilege” incidents.
Training his guns on the Akalis, he said: “On realising that Sukhbir Badal was not capable to manage party affairs, the SAD has brought back 94-year-old Parkash Singh Badal to political events.”
