Both Amarinder, Sidhu take swipe at Badals, Kejriwal

Chandigarh, September 17

As SAD leaders landed at the Delhi borders to observe “black day”, marking the completion of one year of the enactment of the three contentious farm laws, both Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and PCC chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday took on the Akalis and AAP over the farm laws.

Akalis party to farm laws

You Badals really take the cake! You were party to the decision of Union Cabinet in June 2020 that approved the three ordinances — Capt Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister

Masquerading still on

@ArvindKejriwal Ji you notified the Private Mandi’s central black law! Has it been de-notified or the masquerading is still going on? — Navjot Singh Sidhu, PCC Chief

In what appeared to be a “realigned” fire power, the CM and PCC chief were seen attacking the Badals for being the “architects” of the central farm laws, describing their Delhi march as farce.

In the past few days, both Congress leaders have been using pre-recorded videos to “expose” the double standards of the Badals on farm laws.

Taking to Twitter, the CM wrote: “You Badals really take the cake! You were party to the decision of Union Cabinet in June 2020 that approved the three farm ordinances. Your drama is well known to every Punjabi. The Congress will continue to strongly stand against these laws! Scrap farm laws, talk to farmers to find way forward. It’s high time you realised your blunder and withdraw the black laws. Why can’t Constitution be amended a 128th time to do that?”

Around the same time, Sidhu took on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, tweeting: “Exploitation of farmers and decreasing prices even on crops where MSP is announced — @ArvindKejriwal Ji you notified the Private Mandi’s central black law! Has it been de-notified or the masquerading is still going on?

On the Badals, Sidhu said: “There are lies, white lies, then there is a bundle of lies called Sukha Gappi@officeofssbadalhellip; The creators and defenders of the black laws are shedding crocodile tears today!! Your drama stands exposed.”

Calling the BJP “a lost cause in Punjab”, Sidhu accused the party of trying to make a backdoor entry through “long-term ally” Akali Dal. “Desperate to make them heroes but they will remain zeroes in Punjab. Both parties — two sides of the same coin,” he added. — TNS
