Chandigarh, July 18
The Punjab and Haryana High Court today adjourned a petition, challenging the “promotion” of Vijay Kumar Janjua as the Chief Secretary.
In the petition placed before Justice Raj Mohan Singh’s Bench, petitioner Tulsi Ram Mishra sought directions for quashing the order “on account of pending graft cases against him, for which the permission of prosecution is being granted”.
The petitioner contended that the “promotion” was against the guidelines framed. The case will come up for hearing on August 1.
