Aam Aadmi Party’s former Faridkot MP Prof Sadhu Singh’s daughter Dr Baljit Kaur today joined the Arvind Kejriwal’s party.
Before taking the political plunge, she was an eye surgeon at the Muktsar civil hospital. She had resigned recently. Sources say she wants to contest from the Malout Assembly constituency (reserved).
Dr Kaur did not comment on her future plans. “I will perform whatever duty the party assigns me,” she said.
When she was in government service, she organised several eye check-up camps in the Malout area. After having resigned, she started practising at a charitable hospital in Muktsar.
