Barnala/Sangrur, December 7
The SAD today accused Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal of deceiving Punjabis by forcing them to fill forms to get registered for the proposed Rs 1,000 a month scheme for women. “Earlier Capt Amarinder Singh got forms filled to give jobs to each household in Punjab. Now, Kejriwal is doing the same by launching bogus camps to fill the forms,” alleged SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal while addressing rallies at Tapa in Barnala and Sunam in support of party candidates.
“Kejriwal wants to grab power in Punjab by hook or by crook. This is why AAP has not announced its CM face,” he alleged, adding Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi was trying to portray himself as an ‘aam aadmi’, but in reality he had amassed wealth. On employees’ strike across the state, he said: “Once the SAD-BSP forms the government, we’ll give them their dues.” In Sunam, Sukhbir promised a state-of-the-art multi-specialty medical college and hospital in the memory of Shaheed Udham Singh. — TNS
