Mansa had agreed to take security from the police on September 1, but after the Moga incident, he has refused to take the cover.

“I have informed senior police officials about my decision. There can’t be an apt example of pretense that on the one hand you want to provide security to a union leader and on the other hand you are beating farmers ruthlessly. Such double standards would not be tolerated at all,” he said. — TNS
