Sangrur, June 13
Farmers with moong-loaded tractors protested in front of the residence of Sunam AAP MLA Aman Arora.
They alleged all claims about the smooth procurement of moong were only on paper as they were facing harassment for many days. They alleged though the MSP was Rs 7,275, but no one was ready to buy their crop even for Rs 5,000. They demanded the CM should look into the matter urgently.
Sangrur District Manager of Markfed Mandeep Brar said they had been purchasing moong as per the state specification. “Till last evening, we bought 2,100 kg moong.”
