The Health Department is still distributing Fateh kits, bearing the photo of former CM Amarinder Singh, to Covid patients being isolated at their homes.
The department seems unmindful of the fact that the former CM has already left the Congress and floated his own party. Various Congress leaders have sought a strict action against officials for the lapse. Thousands of kits have already been distributed across the state while many have been kept in the stores for distribution in coming days. The department, during the first wave, had launched the “Corona Fateh Kits” that included medicines and other medical items for the home isolated patients.
Dr GB Singh, Director, Health Department, said, “We will remove the image of the former CM from the kits. The decision was taken as soon as the matter came to our notice.”
