Fazilka: Two days before the elections, senior Congress leader Malkeet Singh Heera who had contested Assembly elections from Jalalabad segment in 2012 on a Congress ticket announced to resign from the party on Thursday. A Rai Sikh leader and Congress Schedule Caste Cell vice-president Heera said he was fed up with the policies of the Congress and thus decided to leave it.
