Sangrur, July 2
The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) has arrested three persons and seized two pistols (.32 bore), three magazines and 20 live cartridges from them.
The accused have been identified as Awarjeet Singh (B-category gangster), Harjeet Singh and Rafi Kumar. Sangrur SSP Mandeep Sidhu said the CIA staff nabbed the trio from Ubhawal Road. He said Harjeet and Rafi belong to Sangrur, while Awarjeet is from Amritsar. It has come to the fore that seized weapons were procured from UP, said the SSP. — TNS
