GST cash collection in the state grew by 32 per cent to Rs 1,845 crore in November. It is second only to what was collected in April this year. The growth rate is the third highest in the country after Odisha and Kerala.
An official spokesperson for the Taxation Commissionerate said the GST revenue receipts for the state in November stood at Rs 1,377.77 crore against Rs 1,067 crore for the corresponding period of last year, registering a growth of 29 per cent. This is very much in line with the trend in economic recovery.
He said the GST revenue up to November this year witnessed a growth of around 54 per cent as compared to the corresponding period last year. — TNS
