Chandigarh, January 24
The Punjab and Haryana High Court today dismissed anticipatory bail plea of senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia.
The order was passed by Justice Lisa Gill after hearing final arguments on his bail plea. Majithia was earlier granted interim anticipatory bail and directed to join investigation. Punjab government’s stand before Justice Gill on the previous date of hearing was that he had not cooperated in the investigation.
His counsel asked for a week to surrender. Justice Gill observed the Court would consider it.
