Chandigarh, October 3

State Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) president and Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann has urged Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi to convene an all-party meeting immediately on the issues of agriculture. He said an all-party delegation should meet the Prime Minister by raising a united voice in favour of the farmers and press for repeal of the central farm laws.

Mann said if the PM withdrew the three laws on agriculture, his prestige wouldn’t diminsh as decisions could be changed in the public interest.

The state AAP chief said the Centre was harassing Punjab and farmers.

“The cash credit limit (CCL) is rejected before the purchase of crops. The Rural Development Fund to Punjab for gram mandis and link roads has been discontinued. The supply of bags, urea and DAP fertiliser is suspended. Moisture and discoloration conditions are tightened for procurement,” he said. All such issues should be raised with PM Modi by all parties in unison, Mann added.
