‘Honour killing’: Girl done to death in Patti

Tarn Taran, June 17

A 21-year-old girl was allegedly murdered by her brother and cousin in border town Patti on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Suneha, a resident of Patti. She had married with Raj Joshan just three months ago.

Suneha’s parents, especially her brother was not happy with her act. Today, Suneha was at her in-law’s home when her brother Rohit and cousin Amar armed with sharp-edged weapons trespassed and attacked her.

Suneha, who received serious injuries, was rushed to the Patti Civil Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.

Patti DSP Maninderpal Singh and SHO Baljinder Singh rushed to the spot to probe the incident. A case under Sections 302 and 34 of the IPC has been registered at Patti police station Patti in this regard. No arrest has been made so far.
