Bathinda, April 20
Irked over low wheat yield, a farmer committed suicide on Wednesday by jumping in front of a running train at Maiserkhana village in this district.
The deceased has been identified as Jaspal Singh (39) of Maiserkhana village. He is survived by his wife, parents and two kids.
Jaspal was upset due to low yield of crop this season and was not able to repay his debt of Rs 9 lakh from a private bank.
