Former Haryana Chief Minister, Om Prakash Chautala, has officially handed over his political responsibilities to his son, Abhay Singh Chautala, at an event marking the 110th birth anniversary of his father, former Deputy PM Devi Lal. While the 88-year-old leader will remain the party chief, Abhay will now be the face of the party as the Chief Minister. Chautala Sr. accused the Congress party of falsely imprisoning him in 2013, but expressed satisfaction in the INLD’s survival and strength. The INLD aims to form the next government in Haryana.
