Khali alleges misbehaviour by toll staff

Ludhiana, July 12

Dalip Singh Rana, aka the Great Khali, the WWE wrestler, today lodged a complaint with the Ludhiana police against the misbehaviour by staff of the Ladhowal toll barrier.

Khali had a minor altercation with the employees of the toll barrier when he was heading towards Karnal from Jalandhar on Monday. Video of the altercation had also gone viral on social media yesterday.

In the video, the employees of the toll barrier were alleging that Khali had slapped one of the employees and he had misbehaved with them also. However, Khali said today that he had not slapped anyone rather the staff were levelling fake allegations against him.

“I was crossing the toll barrier when the staff forcibly stopped me and asked me to come out for clicking a selfie. When I refused, they started misbehaving with me and made videos with their mobiles. I did not use any foul language but the employees used abusive language against me,” he alleged.

Khali said in viral videos the employees were levelling fake allegations against him that he was trying to cross the barrier without paying the toll fee. The wrestler today submitted a complaint to ADCP (headquarters) Pragya Jain and demanded registration of a case against the toll barrier staff and its contractor. — TNS
