A 43-year-old resident of Prajapat Colony in Bathinda was found dead in a car parked on the roadside near Bharu Chowk in Gidderbaha today. The police said the deceased, Narinder Pal, bore some injury marks.
“The family has not yet raised suspicion on anyone, but we will investigate the case from all angles,” said Muktsar DSP (Investigation) Jasmeet Singh. He added: “The deceased was into a marketing job, but we are yet to know the exact place of his posting and name of the company. The family has told us that he had joined a new company a few days ago.”
Some eyewitnesses claimed the deceased had some foot injury as well. Besides, a blood-stained rope and a suitcase had been recovered from the car, they claimed, adding the car was unlocked and the key was recovered from the deceased. Meanwhile, a neighbour of the deceased in Bathinda said Narinder’s father had retired from the PRTC. He is survived by wife, a daughter, a son and parents. His brother is reportedly living abroad. — TNS
