Muktsar: The district police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a man with 2 quintal poppy husk and seized a truck from near a sugar mill on the outskirts of Malout town. The accused has been identified as Jaspal Singh of Sriganganagar in Rajasthan. TNS

Abohar: A team of the Anti-Corruption Bureau claimed to have nabbed a government schoolteacher for graft on Saturday in Sriganganagar and seized Rs 1.5 lakh from the accused. Bureau Additional SP Tejpal Singh said accused Bhim Sain Oadh had allegedly demanded Rs 2 lakh from Virpal Kaur of Chak 14-SHPD village. OC
