Mansa cops crack Rs 3.5L loot case in 3 hours, nab two

Mansa, July 15

The police have cracked a loot case within three hours and arrested two persons along with the stolen cash and a two-wheeler used in the crime here.

SSP Gaurav Toora said, “The police have cracked the case in which two bike-borne miscreants robbed a man of Rs 4 lakh. Complainant Gulzar Singh said as soon as he came out of a bank in the Bhikhi area after withdrawing the money, two men snatched the packet from him and fled the spot. We registered a case under Sections of 379B and 34 of the IPC against the duo and launched a manhunt.”

“A team led by Inspector Pritpal Singh acted swiftly and managed to trace and arrest the accused identified as Manjeet Singh and Pardeep Singh. The police also recovered Rs 3.5 lakh and the motorcycle from their possession,” the SSP added.

The suspects would be produced before a local court and their police remand would be sought for further interrogation, Toora added.
