Masked men enter residence of a businessman in Muktsar, flee with valuables and cash

Muktsar, April 13

Six masked men on Tuesday night entered the residence of a marble trader on Bura Gujjar Road here and demanded Rs 1 crore from him. Later, they fled with Rs 30,000, two gold rings, five cell phones and one smart tab.

The victim, Atal Kumar, said some members of his family had gone for a walk last night, when the masked men carrying a pistol and sharp-edged weapons entered his residence.

“They immediately demanded Rs 1 crore. When I said that I did not have such an amount, the robbers started searching my residence and ran away with Rs 30,000, two gold rings, five cell phones and one smart tab. They even broke open a door. One of the robbers even suffered injury in his hand while opening a box. They had come in a car. The CCTV footage shows that they fled in the same car,” said Atal Kumar.

Meanwhile, Muktsar City police have started an investigation in this regard.
