Bathinda: A group of men posing as cops allegedly duped two persons of Rs. 42 lakh here on Saturday. As per information, the victims were staying in a hotel in the city and were carrying the cash as it was reportedly to be paid to a travel agent to send their relative to a foreign country. The police said the travel agent was also staying in the same hotel near the room of victims. TNS
Youth duped on pretextof work permit in Manila
Moga: The police have registered a case of fraud against two persons for allegedly duping a youth of Khosa Kotla village of Rs. 3 lakh on the pretext of sending him to Manila on a work permit. The police said complainant alleged that Baljit Singh and Inderjit Singh of Khosa Kotla took the amount from him, but sent him to Manila on a tourist permit.
