The bail application of senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia was dismissed by the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohali on Friday.
The Punjab Police had booked former Akali minister Bikram Singh Majithia under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
A copy of the FIR stated that Majihtia had been booked for knowingly allowing drug smuggling through use of his property or conveyance, financing the distribution or sale of drugs and hatching a criminal conspiracy for smuggling.
