Punjab Police on Friday claimed to have cracked the Mohali grenade attack case. State DGP VK Bhawra said Lakhbir Singh, alias Landa, from Tarn Taran district, a close associate to gangster turned terrorist Harvinder Sinh Rinda had hatched the conspiracy. The DGP said they work for the Babbar Khalsa International and ISI in Pakistan. Lakhbir Singh’s other associates are Nishan Singh and Charan Singh, both from Tarn Taran.
Nishan Singh was recently arrested by the Faridkot police. Nishan got the rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) from Landa and gave it to three persons.
The rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) was fired at the third floor of the highly-guarded intelligence wing headquarters in Mohali’s Sector 77 at 7.45 pm on Monday, which sent the state in a high alert mode.
