Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Thursday arrived at Congress headquarters to meet AICC general Secretary organisation KC Venugopal and general secretary in charge of Punjab Harish Rawat.
Sidhu, escorted by Punjab Police, reached AICC headquarters at 6.30 pm to discuss organisational matters pertaining to Punjab Congress.
This is the first official meeting Sidhu is attending since posting his resignation on Twitter on September 28.
His presence at AICC headquarters is indicative of his expected continuation in the post.
The Congress wants to finalise the state organisation as soon as possible and is learnt to be discussing the matter with Sidhu.
The meeting has lasted for an hour and is ongoing.
