Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Navjot Singh Sidhu held a meeting with manifesto committee chairman and Rajya Sabha MP Partap Singh Bajwa at Punjab Congress Bhavan here to discuss the outline of the party’s manifesto for the 2022 Assembly elections.
Sidhu also met a number of party MLAs, including Fateh Jung Bajwa, Rakesh Pandey, Surinder Kumar Darbar, Santokh Singh Bhaliapur, former MLA Tarlochan Singh Soondh besides others. Bajwa is learnt to have sought details of issues raised by the PCC chief for including in the manifesto.
Speaking on the sidelines of an event to launch campaign ‘Aawaz Punjab Di’ to elicit inputs from people for the manifesto, Bajwa said after touring the state and taking suggestions from different sections of society, the manifesto would be ready in the next 15 days. Today, Bajwa held meeting with traders and industrialists in Ludhiana.
“We will focus on issues related to agriculture, NRIs’ problems, health and education. It would be realistic and promises would be implementable,” said Bajwa. Congress social media head Rohan Gupta said as part of the campaign, a toll-free number was being launched for the people.
