Jalandhar, July 27

Ziqitza Healthcare Ltd, which runs state-owned 108 ambulance service across Punjab, has claimed to have provided immediate assistance to over 51,413 people from April to June this year.

Manish Batra, Project Head (108 Ambulance), Ziqitza Healthcare Ltd, today said: “Our fleet of 299 ambulances continues to ensure that each case is handled well by timely admission to the hospital and thereby saving precious lives. We try to give every patient the best possible emergency support and serve the people in distress.”

He added, “Our 108 centralised call centre plays a significant role by promptly assisting all the cases with a strong support.”

Citing figures, Batra claimed Ludhiana reported the highest number of accidental cases (1,264), followed by Patiala (995), and Mohali (646). In case of pre-pregnancy, 2,475 expecting mothers were served in Ludhiana, 1,075 in Jalandhar and 912 in Mohali.

“Our ambulance pilots are fully trained to render treatment to patients in needhellip; we must give way to an ambulance on the road, as they play a pivotal role in the golden hour. Every second counts in a medical emergency, it may mean the difference between life and death,” he requested the motorists.
