SAD patron-cum-former CM Parkash Singh Badal turned 94 today. He, however, kept his birthday a low-key affair this time due to the martyrdom day of Guru Teg Bahadur falling on the same day.
PM Narendra Modi greeted him, tweeting: “Birthday greetings to one of India’s most respected statesmen, Shri Parkash Singh Badal Ji. He has worked very hard for the progress of Punjab, particularly the weaker sections of society. I pray that he is blessed with a long and healthy life. (sic)” — TNS
