The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted protection against arrest for three days to senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia.
He has been given the time to approach the Supreme Court for challenging its order dismissing his anticipatory bail plea. Till then, he will not be arrested.
Justice Lisa Gill made it clear that the protection would enure only for three days.
Justice Gill also made it clear that the order was passed keeping in view the peculiar circumstances of this case.
Justice Gill added the Court did not find ground to afford one week as prayed for.
