Chandigarh, February 11
Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi’s nephew Bhupinder Singh Honey has been sent to judicial custody of 14 days on Friday, in illegal sand mining case.
Honey will be spending his judicial remand in Kapurthala jail.
He was arrested by Enforcement Directorate on February 3, under money laundering charges, in illegal sand mining case.
Last month, the ED had carried out searches at the residence of Honey and others.
The Punjab Chief Minister, however, had alleged that the ED is working at the behest of the BJP.
