Punjab CM Charanjit Channi will visit the violence-hit Lakhimpur Kheri in UP to meet the affected families.
The Punjab government has written to the UP Additional Chief Secretary, seeking permission for Punjab CM to visit the families of the victims.
Eight people, including four farmers, had died in violence in the UP district on Sunday.
