Political parties in Punjab are bracing for election results as counting of votes for 117 Assembly seats began amid tight security. The authorities have imposed section 144, CrPC, in all districts to prevent crowds at counting centres and victory processions have been banned.
Exit polls have predicted an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) win though other parties have trashed those polls.
