Chandigarh, June 15
The proceedings of the state’s Budget session, which begins on June 24, will be telecast live on the government’s social media platforms.
Governor Banwari Lal Purohit today gave his assent for the summoning the session from 11 am on June 24. The session will begin with obituary references, followed by a debate on the Governor’s Address. Though the address was in the last session, the debate on the same was postponed till the next session.
The Budget will be presented on June 27. This time, the government will also hold a double session on Saturday i.e. June 25. Other than the day when the Budget is presented, the government will be holding double sittings on all other days.
